Robotics in Intelligent Manufacturing: Research Trends

Digital Twin and Robots are emerging as advanced manufacturing technologies to promote flexibility and smartness of manufacturing systems to deal with production task fluctuation including reconfiguration. Locating the ultimate applications of robotics in manufacturing is challenging and needing persistent effort, while robots for dedicated services in oil and gas industry are in-progress for repetitive and dangerous tasks coping with extreme environment and maintaining profit margins.

The presentation will focus on the research gaps and trends in robotics and systems governing complex automated motion, followed by an introduction to the recent activities of IRC-IMR research center
